Q: What criteria am I being judged on?
A: You will be judged on the following criteria:

Park of the Year Award:

Your Park's Guest Experience (25%)

The guest experience you provide at your park helps set you apart from your competition and encourages campers to choose your park over the many other recreational and vacation options available to them.  Many factors, including, but not limited to, value, your park’s visual appeal, site options, amenities and services, are required to deliver an exceptional guest experience. Overall, it involves setting an expectation for your guests’ experience and then delivering on that expectation.

Marketing (25%)

There is no “one size fits all” approach to developing an effective marketing plan for a campground or RV park. It takes the right mix of online, print and promotional strategies that will appeal to your specific target market. It’s also important to be able to measure the effectiveness of each element in your marketing mix so you can make adjustments as necessary.

Customer Service (25%)

Everyone loves to visit a park that runs smoothly.  Many factors, including everything from keeping your park clean to ensuring guests’ safety, are essential to a well-run park. How do you and your team create a worry-free visit for your guests?

Industry Involvement (10%)

Involvement in the outdoor hospitality industry can be essential to the growth and success of your park because it enables you to see the “bigger picture” and, in turn, take what you learn and apply it to your own park.

Why do you believe your park should win? (15%)
